My solution so far

Hi All,

Just wanted to post I am doing much better today having bumped up the gabapentin to 200mg 3x a day again coupled with 400mg of Magnesium Glycinate and B2 as well. I feel like I can function almost normally with this.

Hope you all find relief soon - I am very grateful to have found a neurologist who prescribed me gabapentin since it’s the only drug I can tolerate (but only at a low level because I’m sensitive to drugs apparently!)

Hi Olivia -

really happy for you  Keep it up!

Thank you so much, Asli! I’m a work in progress with this…maybe I’ve reached the best I’ll get, but I’ll take it I suppose! I’m not recovered and I still have MAV (Probably for life I realize) but I can live pretty well on my little concoction of stuff - the gabapentin, magnesium, and B2 keep the migraines at bay and also stop my swaying and rocking to a great degree even under highly lit fluorescents and screen usage. If I want to experiment with topamax again, I may but I had some really intense sx with that initially so I’m going to try to stick it out with gaba. At 200mg 3x a day I feel a lot less MAV-y if that makes sense. I hope you give a try given that we’re both so similar with sensitivity to meds. It’s helped me A LOT but I can’t go higher than this without feeling woozy and dizzy in another way. xxx
