Another monitor nightmare

Just curious if anyone else had this trigger and found it got easier when symptoms became more controlled through a medication? I’m just trying to be hopeful that this won’t be a lifelong trigger…

Scott: Out of curiosity, when you mentioned that you adjusted the brightness/contrast etc… where did you make those adjustments, on the monitor itself or inside the video card configuration? If the video card really is the kicker here, then making adjustments to the monitor might not be the way to go. Most modern video cards (Intel, Ati, etc…) have a configuration utility to allow you to change the settings of the card itself - I would start there (guessing you already did, but who knows.

Hi there – I’ve tried both on monitors that did me in. But it was only recently that I realised it’s a combination of video card and monitor that can act to make us feel dizzy. I always thought it was the monitor only. Yet another variable.

I’m totally fine now on this widescreen LCD at work. It took about 3 weeks all up but it doesn’t mess with my head now.

I would absolutely have to take a valium. I freak out if my kids turn on a flash light or if my husband turns on a lamp while I’m sitting next to it. That’s migraine and dizzy city for me. I’m super photo-phobic.
