Wanted to describe a symptom to see if it resonates with anyone since it kind of freaked me out. I was at the PT getting some work done on my neck as it is tight, full of trigger points, painfull, etc. He was doing some decompression on my head (near the occipital) and I had my eyes closed. I experienced what I can only describe as my brain doing like a somersault – a wave of dizziness that felt like a full circle – after which I felt anxious and “off”. Whole episode couldn’t have been more than 5-10 seconds max.
I’ve found that opening your eyes can actually help sometimes - the brain takes the visual cue that the world is not actually spinning and the sensation is less obvious.
Yep I have those but mine come with an electric voltage shock that sends a wave of pain through every nerve ending in my body at the exact same moment. Horrible. You are not alone.
Yes, me too. Great description. A flip flop in the brain, followed by a nauseating feeling. As I type this, I’ve had 3 of these in the last 4 hours. Would love to know what it is.
Migraine has done this to me before and yes it’s really scary! I explained to my Neuro asif my brain had flipped upside down. Sorry you had this but you’re not alone
