I have a great deal of difficulty with digital screens. That makes life impossible as my phone, TV, laptop and all ways to communicate with people are on screens. Within a few minutes of looking or working at one, I develop nausea, headaches and wooziness. I thought Nortriptyline would help better with this, and it has. From zero tolerance, it is now a few minutes into it and then if I stay longer, I suffer greatly and am disabled for many hours. The problem with this condition is that it is a functional neurological disorder so it affects our functioning in daily life in every way. You have to prevent LIFE if you want to prevent triggers. My triggers are sounds, so phone calls are difficult, screens, so cell phones and computer and TV screens are very difficult, motion senstivity which means if I sit in only one place, I will be okay, smells and odorsā¦Thatās pretty much called life: Motion, lights, screens, sounds, drivingā¦I feel grateful I can take a morning walk for exercise before I start any activity. Once I get on a screen, I canāt do it anymore. If I take a phone call in the morning, my head goes crazy after. This condition is horrible. What can be helpful for all these symptoms?
For me it was meds, vestibular therapy, vision therapy, special lenses and time. Things slowly, slowly got better, never 100 percent better but manageable. Donāt give up, youāll find your way forward.
