Genetic migraine

Hi All,

This article appeared in this month’s edition of Life Science here in Australia. Very interesting findings that focuses on the population of Norfolk Island –- a group who descended from 21 individuals. Migraine affects 27% of these people compared with 12% on the mainland. They continue to get more and more info about the genes responsible for this. This is the sort of hard scientific evidence that flies in the face of those who will tell you it’s a gut disorder or some sort of wholistic problem. Sure other things may contribute to kicking it all off (life events), but it seems clear to me that it’s rooted in the genes. No migraine genes means no migraine no matter what life throws at you. It’s a nice easy read.
