Happy New Year!

HI all,
I’m so glad to have found this forum. The 16 years or so I have had this problem on and off, I have never really found a place that I feel like I can really relate to peoples symptoms. When a neurologist told me she thinks that my chronic on/off dizziness is migraine I wasn’t 100% sure who to believe as I have had all the diagnosis thrown at me when it comes to vestibular problems. I do have some inner ear damage in my right ear and I have always thought that the reason the dizziness would come back is because of this damage and my brain has decompensated for the problem. Although I have had a vestibular therapist tell me that once you compensate it doesn’t come back. Which confused me, as mine definitely can come back.

I have been on the migraine diet since July, taking magnesium and B complex vitamins. I get regular exercise and in general I would say things have improved significantly from when this started back in January (from taking birth control pills). This is where the migraine diagnosis came into play, the doctor said hormones are a trigger for me.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for being here and giving me advice and help when I need it. I know we all have different experiences with this migraine thing and it is comforting to know that there is a place I can come to and ask questions and get support. I wish all of you a happy and healthy new year.
Take care!
Joy
