Just a quickie to let you know that I haven’t forgotten you all! Apologies if I haven’t responded to private messages. I’m currently in hospital! Long story but have had a bit of a traumatic week, ended up here getting a rather large and complex looking ovarian cyst taken out.
I’ve had a laparotomy as it was in a bit of a tricky position, obviously this is a much more tricky op than the keyhole and am having to take painkillers galore. Been on the morphine most of the night!! I got in touch with Dr Silver re pain relief and he said it was ok in this situation. However, during the night I have had a horrid migraine headache :(( Has anybody else been through surgery and had to take pain relief? What worked best for you?

I felt really sickly with the migraine (or possibly the morphine!) and the nurse brought in a med that I popped under my tongue. It was a wonder drug! I will have to find out the name of it, the sickness passed within 20 minutes.
