I’m sorry that the message boards are not active yet. I’m waiting for Google to index this site so we can get a few more people this way and hopefully be one of the top search results for migraine/vertigo.
For all those suffering this debilitating condition, I hope the intro page to this site (mvertigo.org) has been of some use to you.
The forum will become available in the very near future.
I’ve been restructuring the forum and look what was way down the line! Hard to believe Mvertigo has been going for 6 years.
I simplified the main forum so that hopefully it’s easier for you guys and noobs to find information just by clicking around and not having to search all the time. The idea here is to make this place an information evidence-based power house so that anyone arriving here with this dizzy madness going on will feel a big sense of hope and security knowing there’s a way out and that you can get better. Obviously it’s great to know you’re not alone too!
A section now called “Science-Based Research” contains all of the stuff that was cluttering up this General Discussion area. I have a lot of articles I plan on posting soon from the literature for those who are interested in that sort of thing. I’ll try to get my A into G and get that prescribing info thread finished too for easy access to medication knowledge.
There’s still about 1900+ posts to organise but it’ll be worth it when complete.
Scott,
I think I speak for all of when I say YOU ROCK!! Thanks for your tireless input and caring…it makes a world of difference in so many of us.
Big Hugs,
Kelley
brings memories back when this board would get 3 or 4 posts a week.

Hey Brian – you’ve definitely been here since the beginning. You and I registered within 2 days of each other I see, however, I wasn’t here much until late 2008. Didn’t realise back then it was just 3-4 posts a week! I do recall finding any information on MAV being very difficult if not impossible.
Kelley – thanks to you for becoming the board’s pharmacy and drug expert! You know more about migraine meds and the various combos than any GP I’ve ever been to.
I’ll jump on the Love Train too. Scott you really do do an excellent job with this forum. The information available here and the lengths you go to to find it, critically analyse it and then provide comment is really extraordinary. Thank you. This quality of this site is really outstanding.
Also, the members are terrific - friendly, informative, supportive and funny. All at the right time and dosage too
I know Adam doesn’t post here anymore but he send me a lovely welcome PM when I joined two years ago. It was much appreciated.
I’m liking that idea a lot. The whole forum could head out to the Love Train, sit down and watch the coloured plates come around with various selections of drugs on them. Topamax, different ADs, Verapamil, Valium, and maybe a dish of coke with a straw attached for those who really want to take migraine treatment to the fringe.

Coloured plates - are you mad?? Too much visual stimulation. We have enough to cope with having the plates moving round on the train (nice and slowly too, thanks). And we’ll have a waiter coming round offering crack. I mean cracked black pepper. Tumeric too if that’s your poison.
And may I suggest, when passing around the drugs of choice on the non-colored plates - the ladies whose hormones get the migraines going are often drawn to (and sometimes hurt by) chocolate. Thank goodness I’m not one who’s hurt by it. I think that might be a fate worse than death. Actually, death by chocolate sounds pretty good right about now… (there’s a recipe by that name).
Oh My!
I see my cover has been blown and now I’ve got to go into Protective Services again. I have been working undercover as a MAV’er trying to find out who is offering these people benzos under the guise that they actually help!! Nonsense!
Between the Tumeric and the abstainance of caffeine and chocolate, there shouldn’t be a problem at all!! LOL
