Have you seen Dr silver?
Unfortunately not. I was with Bamiou in London for a while, then saw Lutton briefly and was subsequently discharged. I’ve made huge progress since the bad old days. I’ve stuck around here because I look after the site :). Otherwise I’d only log in once every 6 months I think.
I really love the statues on Crosby beach btw
After recently seeing my new specialist (after nearly 7 years of hell and torment and not knowing), she has uncovered what’s actually wrong with me. She listened to my story and looked at my test results from other clinics and arranged a test which is actually very hard to find and new in the UK! It confirms that I have isolated otolith dysfunction, a type of PPPD. The virus I got in my ear affected only my right otolith, which Normal ENT tests don’t cover. She said my vestibular function results apart from that could be in a textbook!
If anyone is still unsure of their diagnosis and need that last piece of the puzzle then I urge you to look into otolith function testing, it’s quick and not unpleasant at all. Hypatia clinic in Liverpool is amazing as is Amy who couldn’t have been nicer. If I’d stayed at the Walton centre I don’t think I’d have sorted it out. I was given migraine type things which did absolutely nothing so I’m so glad I took matters into my own hands.
Glad you’ve found a diagnosis you can believe in
I personally found this a real struggle and I spent a lot of time & money on seeking different opinions.
