So i have not been on Nort for that long and have managed to get up to 50mg. I feel like i have gone backwards. It has improved my mood but not my VM.
Has it made anyone else feel worse at first? is this normal.
I am going to give it another couple of weeks and if i dont feel better i am ditching it

can you tell us which symptoms have hit worse? Have any stayed stable? X
The dizzy’s are worse, more attacks, hot flushes, neck pain etc
Hi Rob, it never made me feel worse except when I go too high on the dosage then I started to feel worse and had to go back down. As you know I can’t seem to go higher than 35mg. I did not feel any worse generally though and seemed to give me more energy and helped my neck pain a lot from the first dose of 5mg.
As you have tried pizotifen and nori with no real joy maybe that means serotonin is not a really a factor in your VM. If Lyrica has helped you that is an anticonvulsant so maybe that is what is going to work for you. Topamax is another anticonvulsant so maybe you could consider switching to that if you dare! It does seem to work for many people and it is first or second choice for lots of neuros including Dr Silver x

The thing is Nort has really helped my mood though which must be a good thing. I no longer feel as down or as anxious
Hi mate,
I have just upped the dose to 20mg. I found 10mg to be very useful with my mood although the dizziness increased somewhat initially.
Since being on 20 mg (since Saturday) I felt really dizzy yesterday and just quite groggy today.
Its funny you mention about neck pain… I have had a lot of neck pain since being on Nori, although not really had this before that!
the side effects are starting to ease off which is a good. I am now sleeping better
i think a lot a of drugs can make you worse at first. I am hoping this is a good sign. I am going to give it another two weeks

I was MUCH worse initially on the nori, had massively increased dizziness, mood swings, stabbing headaches…it was like this for 2/3 weeks, it never helped at all…sorry I don’t seem to have joy with nay drugs tho, this may well be due to the Lyme diagnosis…x
Im up to 75mg Nori right now. Every dose increase made me feel a lot worse for about a week. Id suggest giving the medication at least a few weeks to see if the bad side effects go away.
are you guys increasing in 5mg or 10mg increments? I am currently doing so in 10 but no idea how I would half this tablets if i wanted, they are so small
i increased it by 10 every 2 weeks. I have been on 50mg for about 3 weeks now. The side effects are easing off now so hopefully I can try and increase it to 60mg soon
or i might just stay on 50mg until i see Dr S

I use a sharp small kitchen knife or a craft knife to cut the small nori pills in half. I am sure you can get small a Swiss army knife if you don’t have one already. I cut them in half every time no problem. It isn’t always totally exact but near enough.

I haven’t put any weight on. If anything I have remained at a lower weight than I was pre-nori so it isn’t inevitable you will put weight on.
feeling quite sick and dizzy in the head today. Hoping its since upping the dose of Nori and will calm down soon… best word to describe it is “groggy” yuk
