Has anyone tried this supplement? _" Migratone Migraine Relief - Natural Headache Relief Vitamin"_, it seems to have a lot of the supplements on the list.

That looks like a good one, has all the right doses for migraine. Even the citrate form of magnesium which I prefer. I don’t know what MicroActive CoQ10 means, generally Ubiquinol CoQ10 is the gold standard. Butterbur didn’t agree with me, but I’m allergic to ragweeds in general. Always make sure the butterbur you buy is “PA free”, which almost all of them are these days, but should always check.

Does anyone know the amount of each supplement we should be taking daily?

I have a bunch of supplements now but the recommended amounts listed on the bottles seems a bit excessive to me.

also if anyone could provide links to what they use… so far I’m just buying the ones that have the best ratings on amazon 😄

What I bought so far.. seems a bit much to be honest

Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Probiotic
Potassium Gluconate

migratone contains the following:
Vitamin B2
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B9 Folic Acid
Vitamin B12
Ashwagandha
Feverfew
Butterbur
Magnesium Citrate
CoQ10

Those all look great. The magnesium looks like its a mix of Oxide and Citrate forms. Citrate is good (also helps the bowels), but Oxide is generally not that great at absorption. I use Calm magnesium which is biocarbonate / citrate, which works really good for me, you can find it at Costco - I always get the plain version on amazon because stevia messes me up. Anyways, you can spend tons of money with this stuff, just use what you got for now.

BTW 100mg of B2 does seem excessive, but its completely harmless except for yellow urine, lol. B12 is similar.

I’ve always used magnesium glycinate. Good absorption

I use magnesium glyncinate too. My specialist wanted me to take 500-600 mg magnesium and 400mg of B2 (riboflavin)per day but I couldn’t get past 300mg of B2 without feeling nauseous all day. I stopped taking them after a few years as I was worried about taking such high doses long term and felt my body could do with a break. To be honest I didn’t notice any difference when I weaned off them. I’ve recently started back on them as I’m having a bad patch and want to do what I can to feel like I have some agency. If you take a magnesium complex it might have some B2 in it ( many here in the UK do). I found magnesium helped offset some of the initial side effects of the meds such as slow transit.

I’ve seen Dolovent recommended by specialists because it has all the supplements at the high dosage needed that might help migraine and migraine variants included in it but it’s expensive.A friend was told just to take Dolovent or the equivalent seperate supplements for just 3 months.

Your choices look like the main ones that are supposed to help. Have you been given a uideline about how long to trial the for?

Good luck - hope they help

My doctor hasn’t given much guidelines.. I’ve pretty much been doing research on this forum. I’ll report back if it works out or not.

Thinking about it which I never have before I can honestly say I’ve never been helped by any supplement I’ve tried. Neither those for MAV or any of the others I’ve ever tried either on prescription or via so called U.K. Health Shops.
