Are they a trigger for anyone?

I know they’re in the same family as garlic and onions (?), BOTH of which are triggers for me. So I’m thinking it would make sense for me to be sensitive to shallots as well.

They were on the Okay list I was given, along with spring onions. I haven’t noticed reactions to them. This said, while I’ve been avoiding regular onions, I haven’t eliminated them entirely, and haven’t identified reactions to dishes containing some onion.

I have no problem at all with shallots and I eat a lot of them. Garlic seems to be OK for me as well. But I don’t eat onions.
