I suffer from migraines with auras but without the headache. I could deal with the auras but not the vertigo that comes with or without the auras. I don’t have much time to get a rescue medicine in before an hour of vomiting and dry heaving hit me. For this reason I asked for a med I could take every day. I’ve been on amitriptyline for almost 2 months. I started seeing auras again one month in. At the 2 month mark I had to force myself awake from a deep sleep due to vertigo. I had no time to take the Ubrelvy I was prescribed for breakthrough attacks. I don’t know if it will work for me yet but I’m scared to try it after the bad side effects I had from Sumatriptan and Nurtec ODT. I’m in a low dose of amitriptyline and slowly working my way up to 25 mg. Would love to hear from anyone with advice!!!
