A tip that helps me

I have a major problem with sensory overload. My brain just can’t handle all the new input at once. When I’m not feeling well I put my ipod on a very familiar song while I’m walking. That way, instead of my brain having to process my body movements, what my eyes see AND what my ears hear. I can eliminate NEW auditory sensory input because my brain KNOWS whats coming next. It helps slightly, you may want to try it.
