Hello Friends,
I was just wondering whether any of you has tried acupuncture. I am considering it ( I just received a good referal) and I was wondering whether there was any evidence that it is effective. I never would have thought in a million years that I would resort to “alternative” medicine but I have not found relief in “conventional” medicine to date and it is not from lack of trying believe me.

I’ve never had acupuncture myself, but i know many who have, with good results. It is an energy-based therapy, so just like homeopathy, it must be applied very correctly or it can mess you up. If you can find a really, really good acupuncturist who takes a careful case history, etc, it could work. But good acupuncturists are harder to find than good M.D.s
