Hi
What are effective alternatives to SSRI’s/SNRI’s. I can’t get on with them at all due to side effects. Mainly increased sweating. I already struggle with excess sweating and these drugs make it far worse. I tried Propranolol but it made my asthma worse and isn’t recommended for those with underactive thyroid. Any suggestions gratefully recei
ved.
This is a bit of a duplicated topic. I’ve updated the Title as your needs are a bit more specific.
Have you seen POLL: The Big Med Poll: What is helping/helped you??
The obvious choice is a Tricyclic?
Also checkout #medication:cgrp-antagonists though they are only for migraines and don’t believe they resolve the dizziness and vertigo? Perhaps a user can weigh in?

Hi
Yeah I’ve tried many anti D’s over the yesrs as they are often prescribed for Fibro pain. Was on Amytriptyline for years but hated how it made me feel, zombie like the next day and the sweating was bad. Noratriptyline was the same.
I really dont want another Antidepressant as I dont tolerate them. I wondered if Topirmate was any good for dizziness. Ive tried taking Certrizine for the last few days as suggested on here and that seems to have reduced the dizziness quite a bit. Any ideas on why? Thanks for replying.

Hi
I’ve also tried Duloxetine last year but that made me so nauseous I didn’t carry on. I’m taking a good magnesium powder mix which has 8 types of magnesium in it and Co enzyme Q10, 300mg a day, plus B2, 400mg a day. I’ve read these are often useful for migraineurs. And I’ve eaten my words from yesterday, as i woke up with aura and head pain. First migraine since April.
