Baking Soda toothpaste on a low sodium diet??

Hello all! I have a crazy question: can I use a toothpaste with baking soda and sea salt in it if I’m on a low sodium diet due to Meniere’s? I do my best to not swallow toothpaste. The brand I’m interested in is called Weleda Natural Salt Toothpaste. I’ve read so many great things about it but I’m worried about how it’ll affect me.

Thank you!

why not just use regular toothpaste? even if you’re not swallowing it, you’re going to ingest a small portion every time you use it

Maria, (@Leylo1), did you ever try the toothpaste you were curious about? My dentist has me using Arm & Hammer Toothpaste with Baking Soda because I drink a lot of tea and coffee. If the Weleda has baking soda and sea salt, it might do a better job for me.

Hi!

I did not I’m afraid. I was so worried about the salt content but since then, I’ve been able to manage that better. I’ve been to my dentist a few times since and they never once tell me to use the more natural stuff. Sad. I currently use Colgate Sensitive.

I’m sorry that I’m not much help.

Take care!
