Best Neurologist in Sydney please?

Hi Everyone,

I’m new here and would like yoru advice please. I’m from country NSW and have been seen a neuro-otologist for suspected VN. I have now developed daily headaches and my doctor recommended I see a neurologist. I would like to see someone who is knowledgeable in headaches and nystagmus. I have a long way to travel to an appointment and have to arrange care for my kids etc. so I don’t want to see someone who cannot help me or is a waste of time (sorry to be so blunt). I am more than happy to see and pay for a doctor who can help me. I have seen posts about Dr.Granot and Dr.Cremer???

Thank you,
Brooke.

Hi Brooke,

Dr Granot is great, many of us here see him and I’ve only ever heard good reports. I’ve seen him myself and was very impressed. He’s clever, knowledgeable and thorough.

If you want to go public (but you may have to wait a while) the Hearing and Balance clinic ar the Royal Prince Alfred is world class. Professor Halmagyi is ‘the man’ there but I have a feeling he’s on the way to retirement.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Dr Shaun Watson in my opinion is one of the neuro’s up there in the list of top neuros of sydney based at the price of wales hospital randwick. I see him and love him.

Hi Brooke

I’ve seen both Dr Cremer and Dr Granot. I thought both were very good at the appointment - it was quite a relief for me when I saw them as I had travelled from Adelaide after no luck in my own state!

Post apt, Dr Granot has been MUCH better. Trialling meds you will need attention post apt, you will have questions etc. I am in a bit of a different situation but Dr Cremer is literrally impossible to make follow up contact with it seems. Dr Granot will respond to an email query same day!!

Let me know if you have other queries. Happy to PM.
