Can any of you walk straight with Mav? Or do you lean or bump into things?
Yes, I can walk straight lines - finally. But it was a long time before I could.
You might want to try heel to toe exercises, just put one foot in front of the other with the heel and toe touching. Walk along a pattern in the floor, along a carpet edge where it meets tile, etc. Try holding your arms straight out for balance at first, then as you build up tolerance try it with your arms down. It may take a long time for you to achieve this, but this was an exercise I did in Vertigo Therapy, and it eventually helped me.
Good luck.
Well I haven’t been diagnosed with Mav and I haven’t had any true vertigo. Just an unsteady feeling when I walk and I can walk straight lines and dr checked balance and said it was just fine.
Do people with Mav usually have a normal nuerological test?
I can’t speak for everyone else, but the only thing they could diagnose for me was the migraines and 40% damage to my left vestibular nerve. But everything else tested fine, which only makes this condition even more frustrating.
