Cardizem/Diltiazem

My doctor just prescribed me Cardizem after propanolol failed. I was wondering if anyone has had luck with it.

That one is a less often prescribed calcium channel blocker. Do a search here on that class of drugs. You may have more luck looking at the category in general.

It on the 100 list but from searching I couldn’t much. @DJDizzy seems only poster on it and thats way back in 2007. Strange you weren’t prescribed Verapamil that’s the calcium channel blockers with the Best track record for MAV. Suppose Doc had their own reasons. I think you’ll find the Propranolol comments apply equally. CCB’s like beta-blockers aren’t likely to be the quickest workers, you need an effective dose over time and a lot of people seem to end up taking quite a large amount if it’s Verapamil at least. There’s a bit of stuff on the internet mentioning Cardizem. Certainly worth a go. Do let us know how you get on with it. Trail blazer Mike maybe?
