Hi Timeless, I’ve had really bad nausea for a couple of months now but not 24/7 constant, although not far off. I can’t seem to shift it. It’s probably the longest bout I’ve had in all of the years I’ve been suffering with MAV. I’m just hoping it goes away of its own accord when it’s ready, that’s the way most symptoms seem to work with me. I’m trying to work out where it’s come from. I have a couple of ideas but I’m tired of trying to second guess everything. It’s limiting my already very curtailed life so I’m just hoping it stops soon. I’ve really had to talk myself out of getting too depressed about it. I know you’ll understand when I say that sometimes it just seems like one thing after another. And one thing too much.
I have nausea 24/7 too. I am still waiting for my ambulatory EEG to be read so no diagnosis or prescription meds for me yet (doctor will not treat me unless he thinks he knows what is wrong…)
I have figured out that ice cream, frozen yogurt and anything else cold and creamy gets rid of the nausea for about two hours. So I don’t gain a million pounds I refrigerated some cherry flavored Mylanta and take that every two hours or as soon as I need it.
Started taking pure ginger (1 tsp) takes my head off, mixed it with juice this mornings and it helps for most of the day, my concern is that it could be something else causing this and I want to find out what it is and treat the issue itself instead of just the symptom.
I also get nausea as one of my symptoms of MAV. But it is not all the time. It comes and goes. Sometimes I feel better if I eat something, it helps with the nausea. Since big trigger is hormones, it feels to me like morning sickness, like when I was pregnant. I also have never vomited but just a feeling of nausea all day but I force myself to eat lightly. It does help.
Hope this helps.
Joan

That is what mine is it seems to help for a bit when I eat something. It feels like morning sickness except it is 24/7. The ginger has really helped though I was very skeptical to begin with but can tell a difference.
