Diet for migraine

Hi,
I want to know something regarding to diet and migraine. Is there any particular diet for the peoples having migraine.I am having migraine but I have no idea about the diet.If yes then what type of diet should be taken.Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

The best thing you can do to find out about the diet is to get the book "Heal Your Headache " which spells it out and give a pretty detailed listing of things to avoid. It can be ordered off Amazon.

Hi Jonehank,

Just in case you want to start the diet before you get the book here are foods to avoid
caffeine, chocolate, MSG, processed meat, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk, nuts, alchohol, vinegar, citrus fruits and juices, bananas, raspberries, plums, papayas, passion fruit, figs, dates, avacodos, dried fruit with sultites, sauerkraut, pea pods, some beans, onions, garlic, fresh yeast breads, aspartame. I would also add wheat to that because many people have found when they give up wheat their symptoms improve.

I avoid most of these but still am “afflicted.” I’m trying to get some more info on the elimination diet, which is much more restrictive than the above, and hopefully will be going on that and will have success in finding my triggers. As of yet I haven’t been able to find any, which my doctor said isn’t abnormal. Some people just don’t have food or any other triggers.
