It feels good to be among people who are in a similar predicament as myself. I was just wondering whether any of you has an increase in dizziness (extreme) upon awakening and whether this has any significance. It seems as though the longer I sleep the dizzier I feel upon awakening.

Hi Lena,
When I woke up at 7:30 this morning (after getting approximately 7 1/2 hours of sleep) I felt pretty decent. When I found out that something I had in the morning was canceled, I ended up falling back asleep for an hour, and when I got up I felt terrible. It lasted throughout the day, too - I had to go out to dinner and for the entire drive in and out of the city, and at various times at the restaurant, i felt like I was about to fall off the edge of the earth. Such a scary, anxiety-provoking feeling…
Before I got a proper diagnoses I did wake up dizzy. I would have to wait almost twenty minutes before I could really depend on my balance enough to take a shower. This has stopped since my doctor and I found something that would work for my headaches.
Now-a-days, if I wake up dizzy, the day is just going to get worse from there. But that doesn’t happen that often anymore.
