Dizzy 24/7?

Hi Teri

Thanks. Last year my optician diagnosed me with fixation disparity, the same as, or similar to, convergence insufficiency (can’t remember which) and said I definitely needed prism glasses for general wear.He said I could alternate them with my contact lenses but to try to wear them as much as possible. I had so much trouble getting used to them I had to go back and get a weaker prism put in. I still can’t wear them at all when I have a bad head day, they just make me more dizzy. But when I’ve been wearing them (as opposed to my non prism contact lenses) I find computer work so much easier and less tiring on my eyes, even though my computer glasses are non prism. The optician remarked he wasn’t surprised at that.

I know nothing about the light bulb therapy at all. Fascinating. I’d like to hear more about that.

Above is a website to a quiz on my Dr.s website that may help determine whether vision therapy would be helpful or not to those who are interested.

Teri.

Hey Teri, I’m excited to hear about your vision therapy. I actually have an appt to start on October 30th. I was thinking about cancelling, but this thread changed my mind. I have the vision that feels like it is jumpy or something, have a hard time reading and being on computer. Hopefully my doc is as good as yours.

And to answer the thread question. I’m dizzy all the time as well. It varies from very mild to moderate. Used to be moderate to almost severe a year ago.
Since spring, and nortriptyline, its gotten better slowly.
