Do you feel better immediately after eating a meal?

Yeah my symptoms change after food.

I do! :raising_hand_woman:
Mornings are hard. I don’t feel better after my “week day” breakfast which is usually a granola bar or something like that but when I have a good meal at lunch, I start to feel better.
If the weekend and I have a sizable good breakfast (bacon, eggs) I feel better quicker.

The fat in the eggs and bacon will help to buffer the insulin response whereas carbs will give a more immediate spike. The brain and inner ear are sensitive to such changes.

Yes, I’ve had this a lot, especially late morning as you describe. I eat some protein and drink sugary electrolytes in between meals which helps.

My best guess is that insulin is playing a role. But also something like 70% of serotonin is produced in the gut, and serotonin is implicated in migraine. Hard to say, so many things are happening in the body when you eat!

That is so very true. I feel better fasted than I do with simple carbs. I won’t eat if I can’t include fats and/or protein.
