Feel better on lower dose of medication? I'm thinking coincidence...

I’ve been on relatively low doses of nortriptyline and propranolol for a while. I titrated up my nortriptyline to 50mg before calling it a bust. I’m keeping my propranolol at 15-20mg to isolate the factors I’m changing. After about 6 weeks on 50mg of nort, and not feeling better, I started weaning off. I lower my dose by 5mg every 3 days. I’m down to 10mg. In looking back at my symptom diary, I notice that I felt better during the weeks when I was taking 15-20mg of nortriptyline. This could very well be coincidence, as there are SO MANY factors here I can’t control (sleep, hormones, weather, etc). But is it even possible to feel better whilst taking a low dose of the medication, and then resume your same symptoms when you take more of that same medicine? That doesn’t make sense to me.

Absolutely. We have seen examples on here of many people having a ‘sweet spot’. @turnitaround i think for one with Ami and I distinctly recall @Jools with Propranolol.
