This isn’t really migraine related but more in the ‘Quite Interesting’ box, but I just saw a report on the ABC news that Gabapentin is now being used for people with persistent cough with no known cause. Apparently it hits the ‘cough receptor’.
Wow, bizarre. Cough (oops). I would like it if one of these drugs did things like reverse ageing, promote weight loss and add hair to men’s heads.
Too funny Scott!!!
I have a persistent cough from the topamax, maybe I should add GABA to the mix. Just keep adding the drugs
I take Gaba every day and I have a daily cough (I’m not a smoker either)…lol
I have had a persistent night time cough since I was a toddler. I just wake up in the night with the driest throat scratching cough going and its LOUD!!! GabaP certainly HAS NOT treated my … cough… splutter… yep that too… :?
Hey, don’t shoot the messenger with your anecdotes you jokers. I don’t make the news, just report it
Hey Victoria, that sort of makes sense, before I got to the end I thought it might be saying that it calmed down a “nerve” thing as thats what Gabapentin does. Now I have a friend with a really irritating nervous laugh …
