He said that if you wake in the morning with a headache, it’s a telltale sign that it’s from your eyes.

“He” being an eye doctor. Hmmmm. Well, sometimes we have to eliminate the obvious; if necessary, we search further. Gad, don’t we, though. And further.
Scott - so glad your Dad and wife are safe…scary stuff speaking from Northern California earthquake country. Very glad you went to the eye doctor… hopefully it will make a really big difference in your vision, dizziness, headache, etc. and lessen the triggers. David is right - we just keep searching further!! Hope your trip goes smoothly as well.
Gail
Cant imagine what those 30 hours would have been like for you - very glad that they are OK. Would be great if the glasses sort out some of those headache issues for you - lets keep fingers crossed!!
The news on the glasses front sounds very promising.
Very sad to hear about your Dad’s home and the awful stress of not knowing about his safety, but glad too hear you now know he and the missus are OK. It’s such a horrible tragedy what is happening in Christchurch. Just devestating.
Thanks for the words everyone. I spoke to my Dad again yesterday and their house is ok inside now. They cleaned it up quickly. Smashed glasses, a wrecked microwave and laptop, and all pictures off the walls and that’s about it. Their apt is quake-proof. Amazingly, there’s a huge art centre in town with HUGE glass windows everywhere. Not one thing is broken structurally because that building is quake proof as well – in other words, it is built to handle forces moving parallel to the ground or sideways. Anything made out of brick and pre-1975 was toast. They lost one very good friend in the CTV building. She was an osteopath and worked in that building ONLY on Tuesday afternoons. The destruction there is so bad that they may not be able to identify some of the victims. What a tragedy. They saw their friend just last Sunday and she was telling them how great she was feeling.
I’ve decided not to fly over there. Food and water a pain to get (though they are ok and have a car), no toilet or water in the house, possibly for weeks. Meanwhile I have just come down with a massive cold so I think there’s no point in going, migraining my head off  , and risk giving them all colds on top of everything else.
Sorry you have a cold - right there with you - i came down with it a couple days ago. No fun although i tend to not get as dizzy with colds - just allergies - strange huh?
Yeah, colds do suck Chris. I’m certain Kelley transferred hers to me down the phone line. One of the things I really hate is that as a migraineur, symptoms are magnified. So aches and pains associated with a cold feel 10x worse. Oh well, on with the show!
