Help me.

The heart beating is probably your anxiety. Mine would get that way as well. Iā€™m sure there is a way to tell, I just canā€™t remember but Iā€™m sure you can find it on this forum if you use the search under BPPV.

From my experience severe MAV vertigo can often seem to be BPPV. Thatā€™s how I was misdiagnosed for so many years. True BPPV only lasts a few seconds. Itā€™s positional. Move to another position and it stops. It can start again and sometimes first change of position doesnā€™t stop it. If it persists itā€™s MAV.

Stop panicking. Think Calm, and breathe. Itā€™s a horrible feeling but it wonā€™t kill you and it will go away. @Reneeā€™s right full of good advice.

If attacks are so far apart meds wouldnā€™t be of use right? Iā€™ve just written up and heā€™s head movement still sensitive. Is it just a matter of waiting it out? Hard when i havenā€™t had it in so long u always do this to myself

I have often wished my doctor had put me on preventatives whilst my attacks were still occasional and far apart. It might just have stopped them becoming longer, worse and more frequent until they eventually just flowed over into constant 24/4 dizziness. Episodic attacks are easier to contain. As your attacks cause you such distress I cannot understand why, if doctor permitted, you would not try preventatives to control them.

Hi all i was here 3 to 4 years ago. I was living life for 3 years. I had surgery and under anesthesia twice. I started to feel faint dizzy. Then 3 months ago i got an attack was horrible. I qemt for an mri and shows 2 brain lesions with suspected ms but am getting a second opinion. Anyone else get lesions? Im waking now with dizziness, then anxiety hits, irregular heartbeats starts and the fear of getting vertigo is crippling. I feel drunk all day. I thought i was past the worst in so scared again. Anyones advice would be great. Anxiety symptoms are high.

So sorry you are still suffering @An4749! Iā€™ve moved your post here so that people can more easily connect your story :+1:

do you have a history of migraines? Do you have any other neurological symptoms?

Unspecified lesions are common in migraine, especially in advanced ageā€¦they do not cause neurological deficits

No pain just vestibular. Mostly dizziness all the time. They saod possible ms but in getting a second opinion lesions were periventricular so they are doing another mri in 3 months. Iā€™m terrified how to squash this vestibular once and for all? Or is ot for life?
