How Exactly Does Weather Influence MAV?

Hey all! I’ve seen quite a few people mention that weather patterns can have an impact on one’s daily MAV fluctuations. It seems sudden, abrupt, or inconsistent weather patterns and/or particularly rainy days can act as triggers and make symptoms flair up? That’s interesting to me, but I was just wondering why this is, exactly. Is there any sort of scientific theory as to why these two seemingly unconnected things could have an impact on each other, or are we not entirely sure yet?

It’s a thunderstorm-y day here, and the thought just crossed my mind. I’m not even sure if weather patterns are a trigger for me yet, but the phenomenon is quite interesting to me regardless.

Thanks!

Nick – it’s got to do with changes in atmospheric pressure.
