I understand,I am happy you feel better now.I would like to add ad on amp I am taking like effexor but I am too scared that my tinnitus might get worst. It says on side effects that it can cause tinnitus.Do you actually suffer from headaches or just ear issues and dizziness ,thanks again
Flutters ,do you think cranial osteopath would work?Do you have any experience with that?
Are you on effexor ?
I have headache, head pressure, ear fullness, tinnitus, eye pressure, brain fog the whole shebang !
Well, I get Rolfing massage that is similar. And yes, that also helps a lot. We migraineurs have super tight fascia in our shoulders, neck and heads. Just make sure itās a well qualified person whoās worked these issues a lot. I also donāt let relaxation massage therapists touch my neck.
Itās MAV bingo!
No I am not on effexor ,I am bit anxious to go on it as there are people with no tinnitus ended up with one so I am still thinking on it.I know that I have anxiety and it needs to be controlled.
I would take decongestant (like sudafed) on any future flight. Take it 30 mins before landing. Avoid taking a flight if you have a bad cold if you can.
Moving your jaw helps clear your eustachian tube. Weāve evolved that way But yeah when you are conscious of some issue you start to play with your jaw (I do occasionally).
I have had a combination of ear issues and neurological issues. In my case it started with the ear and then escalated. Now that the ear has improved, the neurological issues have gone. I donāt even need medication now.
This could be a good sign that things are started to calm down.
Yes flutters I have decided that I dont let massage people touch my neck anymore as I ended up worst after couple og massage experiences.I too suffer from extremely tight muscles but I think with me it is due to my neck issue causing it.So far dry needling is working the best for it.
I was told never to have a massage see a chiropractor. So yeah, I suggest you donāt do that. Helen is typing and have a feeling I know what she will tell you
Thanks turnitaround when you say neurological issues you mean like dizziness?Sorry if I am asking too many questions:blush:
If you know the anxiety stems from the condition, set out to find a more meaningful diagnosis which hopefully will have a treatment regime and the anxiety should melt away. Helen
Neck stiffens because brain is telling you to hold head still as is probably struggling with vestibular deficit. (This is what I thought @Onandon03 was typing ) I found Amitriptyline solved this for me ⦠go up gently on Ami and see if things improve with your neck.
Hi Helen ,I suffered from anxiety bf this condition but I was able to manage through exercie, diet and relaxation.Since the condition it got worst. What did you mean by finding a more meaningful diagnosis.Sorry sometimes I dont understand some things;)
Hmmm ⦠interesting ⦠that could be a red flag for a pre-existing condition that was not yet obvious. Vestibular problems can make you anxious. If the problem is subtle you may not seek out a balance doctor. It is possible your cave jump worsened something you already had? Did you have any dizziness or ear trouble before the cave jump? Even very fleeting feelings?
No turnitaround bf the jump I never felt dizzy eventhough I suffered from anxiety.Maybe when my worst times when my heartbeat would go very very high I would feel slightly light headed
Bingo, I had that too before full chronic onset⦠brief moments of light headedness when stressed ⦠a sign that things were developing ⦠then one day - boom!
Itās tough to know what causes what but stress definitely doesnāt help.
Maybe it weakened the whole system then this was just a trigger. Also as a child I used to be car sick alot and as an adult I could never read on buses as I would be sick straigth away and I would not /still travel sitting backwards on buses and trains.
Sounds like you have always been a bit sensitive to movement but to be fair many apparently healthy people struggle with these situations too ⦠we are all different, some stronger than others. Nothing to be worried about here I propose.
No need to be sorry. I admire your grasp of English. It is excellent. I would never have known it wasnāt your first language until you said so. What I was trying to say was it seemed maybe you doubt the āvestibular migraine diagnosisā ie it doesnāt really make sense to you. Maybe you really feel all the symptoms are caused by ear damage from that unfortunate dive. As any balance issues can take a long time to settle so you are going to have to live with this condition for a while, Iām sure you would be happier if you felt you were really sure of what was actually causing your problems. A diagnosis you could truly believe in 100%. To you, That would be a āmeaningfulā diagnosis. Itās so much easier to work towards something you believe in. Helen
Yep, agree with Helen. At some point you have to end the search, stop spending $$$$/£££££ on doctors and focus on treatment protocol.
But sounds like you arenāt there quite yet and still in diagnostic stage. Unfortunately sometimes these things are really difficult to pin down.
Ami was enough to get rid of my anxiety, I hope this is as helpful for you.
