I’m so glad I’m on this forum sharing the information within this forum and not on Facebook. It seems with all the chaos that Facebook is going through currently being exposed for the invasion of privacy it’s having I’m glad I never shared anything on there.
Thanks again for supporting this forum and continuing to visit and be a support system for all, including yourself if you have this dreaded condition or some shape or form of it.

Yes, one of the great benefits you can enjoy on this forum is: anonymity. This is particularly poignant at this time because of the recent and ongoing Facebook/Cambridge Analytica scandal. I personally DO NOT recommend you use FB Groups.
Consider the potential impact to your credit rating, employment prospects and insurance costs by joining a FB Group that covers a chronic medical condtion!!

Wow! I avoid Facebook because my retired mom uses it to stalk her children. I never thought I’d be grateful for it.

Whoops. Think I’ve already defeated the privacy aspect in my case, Don’t ‘do’ FB or social media at all. Need bit of help here though, despite having used computers extensively since1983 way before internet days am totally unfamiliar with forums. This is my first attempt and I need to be able to remove my surname from my posts and maybe include ‘UK’ somewhere there. Help, please. Apologies if I’ve breached protocol contacting you this way. Maybe yr very informative website really needs its own user manual.
Hey Helen, you can change your username in user preferences with the little pencil icon next to your username. It will break any mentions but that’s about the only downside. If no-one has mentioned you (e.g. @turnitaround) , there should be no issue. Access it by clicking on your avatar in the top right, then on the ‘cog’ icon.
