in need of advice

Hi everyone , i was given the website by a frjend and in need of advice, i was sat on my bed in december and got hit was a sensation of moving and i had a little bit of pressure in my left ear bud it lasted only a few seconds, but ever since i had a rocking turning weird sensation which i only felt sat and not when walking or in cars, it v v slowly eased but i still feel it now and again adn took a good 5-6 months to stop. My problem now is my ear fullness which is in both ears and sometimes i get a low pitch ringing in my right ear and high in my left. I also do have post nasal drip but my ent did a hearing test and air pressure test and claims he can’t find any issues. now i developed some sort of problem where i feel i cant keep up with public and walking even 10 min tires me out i feel more left weak than the motnhs i had it worse i was doing better.

It sounds like vertigo. I’ve been there and it is awful. I also have the ear fullness and am trying everything. A humidifier is helping me sleep at night and helps with the fullness in the ears. The mornings are the worst. My PCP gave me a low dose allergy med. It helps a little with the ear fullness. Did you ever try Prednisone? My ENT put me on that for 2 weeks and it helps. Walking wears me out too. I think because of the pressure in the ears. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

hey thanks for replying! my ent said they didn’t want to give me anything without exaclty knowing that cause and he didn’t see infection or anything so that’s why i m confused about my pressure lol, dizziness has slowly lingered for months i mean it is going away but i am left more weak

I’ve had the problems for months with the ear fullness and pressure. I want to heal naturally and don’t like taking meds, but the dizziness is sometimes hard to take. I’m seeing a chiropractor - had 4 Epley maneuvers for vertigo. It did help that problem, but the ear fullness lingers. Hot showers and hot baths help, but only a temporary fix. I’m having adjustments to the vertebrae in the back of my neck, which are out of alignment. She also told me my jaw is out of alignment. Not sure if this is helping my problem or not, but I only have a couple more weeks of sessions. I don’t have an ear infection and my hearing is fine. This is a puzzle, but I’m trying to keep a good attitude. Take care of yourself and try to keep a good attitude.

this honestly sounds like allergies, specifically maybe to mold. did you have any water damage in your dwelling at any point or has it been a particularly wet season for you? you might want to ask about doing another high-dose steroid run, either prednisone or dexamethasone.

Same, the ear fullness is what i cant understand and also my hearing is apparently ok at the minute, it really is bizarre, i thought meneires but so far my ent said no

it always rains where i’m fromšŸ˜…currently raining now actually haha and i don’t think any mold no but allergies also not sure of was thinking of getting tested… but i used nasal sprays and it doesn’t do much

allergies would be causing high inflammation in your whole body so nasal sprays wouldnt have that big of an impact. if you’re helped by allergy meds or steroids, it could potentially be an explainer, but that’s pure conjecture, and certainly not clinical. i’d be curious about how you would feel if you went away for a week or two

mostly my dizziness type has faded it took months 6-7 to linger away it comes for shorter tiems now when it use to be constant, i mean i think i have meneires but my ent doesn’t, infact he doesn’t think it’s anything to do with my ears as he can’t see infection or congestions os allergies never were mentioned

I did not experience similar symptoms than yours and I have a diagnosis of vertiginous migraine. The only similar symptoms are the weakness and tiredness. I had those even before other symptoms showed up. Once I had a diagnosis and started taking 10 mg of Nortriptyline both the weakness and tiredness disappeared (not completely, but I have stamina for walks, hikes, shopping, work, etc). My guess is that the medicine helps to regulate my nervous system. And our nervous system is basically ā€œthe bossā€ and the one that determines the functioning of many other systems. Make sure that you are eating a good amount of protein, especially in the morning, so your body has enough fuel to keep going. If you have simple carbohydrate and sugar, your energy will crash soon.
