Hi,
I am new here and have been recently diagnosed with persistent complicated migraine. I have begun taking Topamax and am in the process of ramping up my dose (currently at 75mg, going to 100mg). As a result of the migraines, my neurologist has asked me to discontinue the use of the birth control pills, which I have been taking continuously for 6 years to treat endometriosis. As I await surgery to treat this condition, I am considering having a depot Lupron shot, but am concerned about the affect this may have on my migraines. I know that headaches are a side effect of Lupron, but need to weigh one type of pain against the other. Does anyone have any experience with this situation?
