"Pushing through" symptoms and a mini victory!

Hi all,

I’m new here, so very quickly I’m about 7 weeks into a dizziness relapse. Had several long bouts with it over the past 18 years, originally diagnosed as vestibular neuritis but current issues suspected to be VM and/or PPPD.

So, my positive story starts with a negative. I was forced to be a passenger a car for about SEVEN HOURS today (a drive somewhere and drive back). I’m sure many of you would agree that sounds like a nightmare when you’re feeling like this. And while I felt pretty terrible the first two or three hours, I pushed through and the second half of the drive wasn’t too bad. Most importantly I made it through!

Small victory, but I’ll take it.

I also just think it’s interesting that when you choose, or are forced, to “push through” symptoms and difficult situations, you often feel better afterward. I’ve noticed that with previous flare ups of dizzines. Is that the case for others, too? Maybe that’s a sign I do have PPPD. Or is that common for everyone?

Curious to hear your take. And hooray for making it through tough days.

Hey @DizzyDan consider starting a Personal Diaries :open_book: :+1:t3:

Thanks! Yes this is a bit more of a diary, I suppose. Next time I’ll put something like that in there.
