Ive had rocking dizziness for 7 years 24/7 and recovered 2 years ago symptom free. 2 days ago its come back. Im absolutly terrified im going to be in for another long stretch. I was taking venlafaxine and habe some left. Should i get back on it quickly or wait 2 months to see my nerologist?
Relapses are so discouraging! Are you able to send a message to your neurologist before your next appointment? Or maybe your primary care physician can get you started on a new prescription for venlafaxine until your appointment? Another option is to go to an emergency department and ask for a migraine cocktail – it will sometimes interrupt a flare-up. In the meantime be kind to your brain – quiet spaces, rest, healthy diet, etc. and hopefully it will calm down.
Since you’ve taken venlafaxine before, you know it takes awhile to become effective. I’d be reluctant to start it up again without a current prescription. I’m so sorry this has happened. Keep us posted, ok?
I didnt know you could get migraine stuff at the hospital. I was very lucky with venlafaxine. Only 1 week after taking it i starting feeling better. Within 4 weeks i was symprom free. I came off it early l, probably too early. I still have an active prescription for it just havnt taken it for a while. Im thinking i should take it and stay on low dose until my appointments
