Hi
I have had vestibular migraine for around 12 years and semi functioning with Pizotifen and Nortryptyline. Recently ive been experiencing slight head wobbles/jerks especially when reading which is really off putting. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced these symptoms? Thanks
Have you checked the side effects of your meds to see if it could be that?
I’ve had VM for 15 years now and had symptoms come and go. I used to get a random jerk of my upper body every now and again but it disappeared on its own and I haven’t experienced it for a while. It could be neurological related so it could be from VM but I’d suggest discussing it with your neuro or doctor to rule out other causes.
Thanks for your reply. Ive been on the same meds from the start so not sure. I am feeling stressed at the moment so that doesnt help. Does anyone know of a good Neurotologist in the East Mids area? Im under my Gp since Surenthiren was decommissioned so havent had a review for years.
That’s interesting. Especially, that the head jerks seem to happen more often when reading, and that you are on Nortriptyline.
I too have been having random head jerks when reading, and I am on Nortriptyline, along with several other drugs for sciatica, blood pressure, angina, VM, and BPH.
The head jerks didn’t start until the neurologist put me on Nortriptyline and the pain management doctor added in pregabalin.
I am also having bouts of hypersomnia in the mornings, which has been brought on by the meds. I presumed the head jerks were part of the hypersomnia, but your post makes me think it’s possibly a separate symptom.
Please keep this thread updated, I am very interested in hearing what you find out.
