For those who have constant tinnitus can you describe the pitch? I have constant VERY high pitched loud tinnitus. Is there a typical tinnitus that accompanies VM? Has anyone had any luck with finding a supplement that reduces tinnitus?
Hi. I have several types of tinnitus. In my right ear I have a high pitched ringing - sometimes it sounds very shrill. In my left ear I have a medium pitched humming or hissing sound. Those are constant. I also hear my heartbeat sometimes (pulsatile tinnitus) and even music or what sounds like whispering. They are all annoying.
I haven’t found any type of supplement to help but I can say that keeping my daily sodium intake at 1500mg helps a great deal. Staying hydrated on an even balance helps as well as trying to not lose my temper. I’ve found that anger or high stress make the tinnitus worse. Or, you know, it could be that when angry or stressed I just notice it more.
Time really does help. I thought I would never get used to having the humming, ringing & hissing sounds but for the most part, I have.
I am wishing you well,
Molly
I have a very low humming in my right here that is a constant sound. Sometimes it is not as loud. I have no idea what causes it to go lower or higher. Right now it is super loud and I have to wear an ear plug to make it stop. I also have the normal high pitched tinnitus in same ear but i hardly notice it. I think I have always had it. My low humming is driving me to insanity.
I was told to take Vinpocetine for tinnitus which I did for a year or so and it seemed to be working but then I stopped when I started having vertigo attacks daily…could not keep anything down.
I tried taking it recently and had heart palpitations so I stopped after a 3-4 days. I don’t know if the two were related. Might give it another try just to make sure because I never had any problems before.
I have 3 different sounds in my left ear. Low and high pitch and a pulsatile tinnitus which comes and goes.
High pitched and pulsating at 6000 khertz (is that correct)? It doesn’t change in volume, doesn’t react to anything.
It’s just THERE
