I have recently increased my dosage of Verapamil from 120 mg to 240 mg. I started having these weird pressure headaches at base of my skull that radiate upward, stiff neck, back pain. Has anybody experienced these as side effects or effect of decreased blood pressure? My blood pressure normally os 115 over 75, yesterday it was 95/65.
Hi
Verapamil is also used to treat hypertension. That may be why your blood pressure is dropping. Has your doctor told you about the side effects of verapamil? The best thing to do is to see your doctor and get it checked out. I was on verapamil for a few months it made me feel very drowsy and didn’t help with my migraines, so I stopped taking it. Hopefully you can get to the bottom of it!

I take only 40mg 3 times a day and have all the symptoms you mention. I was put on Verapamil for an irregular heartbeat 6 years ago but dare not increase the dose so still have supraventricular tachy. Just another annoying symptom. I do know it causes low blood pressure and constipation but not sure if it is Verapamil or MAV that causes the others.
