Vertigo

I just moved to new yorkcity…i am not used to high humidity…I do have health issues but one was this vertigo or labrynitis as it was diagnosed yrs ago i started taking lemon bioflavonoids and cq10 it worked and absolutely made it go away 95 % of the time…occasionally it would come back for a few secs send me in a spin…so i gave u driving freeways cause i get anxiety as is on freeway but the fast motion of the cars all around me plus anxiety is not good, so for everyones safety i drive streets so if t kicks in I can pull over much easier however…now i am lightheaded for a week and taking all that I did before wasnt working but take edge off…so now i increased it and even take a bite off of a .25 xanex…itI calms me and helps me not to think its anything worse …I’m just posting my personal experiences with this thing pretty scary…back 20 yrs ago i had an eposide for three days couldnt even get ouf of the bed that was back in my drinking days…I am now trying to eat healthier, I have hypothyroidism, and anxiety is a major issue sometimes.but do not like taking meds I’d rather drink a glass of wine or have a beer…the best to all I wouldnt wish this thing on anyone… god bless

Annmarie, n NYC the pace is fast, the drivers rushed and pedestrians often brusque. And the pollution ain’t good.

I was born in NY, learned to be comfortable driving cars and motorcycles in it, and even a cab for a day (till my regular job opened back up), but when I returned there after a few years of living away, I found the streets rough to drive. Living away a few more years, and the atmosphere was no fun.

What I’m getting at is that there’s plenty ON TOP OF the humidity to make the adjustment challenging.

And he,y not that you asked, but I hate to take drugs when I can avoid them, but unless you know that the wine truly compensates your system for what your thyroid isn;t putting out, I urge you to take the drug. My mother did, for many, many years, and one thing I wonder is whether her failing toward the end was partly attirbutable to her not being able to see her meds clearly enough, and forgetting to take them.

Hi annmarie,
that sounds interesting. Do you have any more details, timescales, amounts, etc? Thanks,
Tony.

Hi all re an update on this vertigo thing I have been successful in california even in smog worst areas to avoid getting dizzy spells almost completely with the lemon bioflavonoids and cq10 however now that i am in new york I go out for a walk or in a shop that is stuffy and hot, and I come out barely able to walk back home…I’m sure now that it is the weather and high pressure…my head feels like a balloon…i cant do anything with my family…but here and there, I take a quarter of a zanex cause i dont like doing drugs but it helps relax me and keep it at bay…i am returning to california end of aug…i am counting the days, and pray to God I am right about it being the increase in pressure and humidity…i am going back to the dr day after i get home and requesting mri to make sure theres nothing else wrong with my brain… I do have faith in the Lord Jesus for my healing and pray the same for all of you…I love motorcycles and afraid to get on one, i love fishing in ocean and do not wish to go, eventually I am going toh ave to start taking mezcline i think it is but do not being groggie…once on the train if this thing gets worse with the movement i’m knockin myself out…god bless all…and thank you for your response…ann marie
