I was wondering for those of you who follow the diet, can you or do you eat jelly or jam on your toast? Is there not gelatin in this food and would it contain MSG.
Please let me know what you think as I am trying to use a gluten free diet to see if I can help some of my stomach issues but the toast or bread I have needs something on it and I wanted to find out what you all thought about jelly or jam,
thanks guys and galsā¦hope everyone is having a better day.
Pectin is naturally found in most fruit, in some fruits it is found in higher concentrations than others. It is totally natural. Sometimes, a high-pectin fruit is added to a jam made with a low-pectin fruit (to help make it jelly-likeā¦like you might add a little bit of apple to a strawberry jam), or it is also sold separately as a powder in stores that you can add when making your own jam. So dont worry, there is no gelatin or msg in it!
I always make dressings with fruit preserves, similar to jelly. it is natural.

I have a salad almost daily for lunch, and it is very difficult for me to come up with dressing. I love vinegarettes and love balsamic vinegar in them. I havenāt had balsamic vinegar in over 1 year - hasnāt helped at all, though. Iāve been mixing (for one portion) around 1tsp of fruit perserves (I usually use blackberry, but can use anything), about a tsp or more of a clear vinegar (like rice wine vinegar without sulfites - you have to read label), and whisk in extra virgin olive oil.can also add salt and pepper. I donāt measure anything just eye ball. Dr. Buchholtz says that you can have distilled vinegars, so I use the rice wine since itās clear, but Dr. Rauch told me no vinegars whatsoever, which leaves me with no dressing, though. If you want more of a dijon vinegarette, you could replace dijon mustard instead of perserves. Dr. Buchholtz says no white wine, but he says yes to dijon mustard, so I am torn, as I cannot find any dijon mustards w/o white wine.
Annieās Naturals is an organic dijon mustard made with Distilled White Vinegar from corn, mustard seed, sea salt, and cloves. So if you are ok with distilled white vinegar, that one should be good for you! Iāve seen it at Whole Foods, and even my local grocery store.
Hello all,
Iām a newbie here. I havenāt had a chance to pick up āHeal you Headacheā yet, but have a sample copy of the do and donāt foods given to me by Dr. Rausch. I have been trying to think of things I can have that donāt fall into those categories, after reading these posts, I feel like Iām not going to be able to do it unless I commit 24 hours a day to food prep. What DO you eat? Iām going back to work soon, am I destined to crackers and apple juice for the rest of my life? I was too afraid to eat anything yesterday.

I have been on the diet modification diet for a long time and I will be honest I think I pushed it too far as I have had a lot of weight lossā¦
Someone told me other day to stop concentrating on what you canāt eat and concentrate on what you can eat. Fresh fruits there are many you can eat, most fresh vegatables, most meats that are not processedā¦
What are you having the toughest time not eating? What were you eating that you really do miss? There are some things to substitute you just have to be creativeā¦
If it makes you feel better once you come off these foods you will learn to live without them at least I have because I hope to never feel that way again or to that extent.
