When this site was founded many moons ago, its main focus was Migraine Associated Vertigo (“MAV”). Since then, medical terminology has evolved, and the condition is now more commonly known as Vestibular Migraine (VM).
Over the years, our community has broadened. Many members live with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), a distinct condition whose symptoms can overlap with VM. Others have been diagnosed with Ménière’s disease or Mal de Débarquement syndrome (MdDS).
We wanted the site to reflect the common ground between people living with these conditions, rather than focusing on a single diagnosis. That led us, quite a few years ago, to adopt the broader title:
The Vestibular Disorders Support Community
It may now be time for our web address to reflect that broader community too - or perhaps keeping mvertigo.org is still the best choice.
What do you think?
The result won’t be binding, but we would genuinely value your opinion. We’d also love to hear your reasons in the replies—particularly which name feels most welcoming, memorable and trustworthy.
This is a ranked-choice poll: 1 is your first choice, 2 your second and 3 your third. You may leave an option unranked, but please rank all three if you can. ![]()
You need to be Trust Level 1 to vote. Trust is gained by positive interactions with the site.
Poll will close end of August, but please consider voting now that you’ve just read this so you don’t forget ![]()
Thank you!
