Vestibular migraines / aura migraines

You are a life saver ! I’m stressing . I’m feeling dizzy and drowsy . To the point I don’t want to get up ! My doctor finally called me back. He said we can try something else. But I really don’t want to start anything or take nothing anymore .

Unfortunately, most of us end up on a med eventually. It’s a real trial and error thing. I’ve done many rounds of trials. All had their quirks. Topirimate was my least favorite of the group. Still, it’s worth it to regain functionality.

Yeah I’m gonna try a lot of natural remedies . Work on mediation and journaling. Still feeling the pinch, stinging . But no more burning . Feel drowsy as well

Excellent. Topirimate is one of those drugs that is either a miracle or a total nightmare. I definitely fell on the nightmare side. You did, too. This chapter will be over soon.

Up again . Feeling tingling and pinching throughout my body

I promise, of the 16 VM drugs I’ve tried, only topirimate ever made me feel that way. Don’t give up in these early days.

I won’t give up but I’m going to the dentist as well because i believe it maybe TMJ because once I was able to relax and really start thinking my mother has been hurting for months and pain coming and going .

I hope they can address it. TMJD is a common VM co-morbidity. Mine comes and goes. I’m 47. After 35 years mine has stopped hurting more than just a general tightness. My bones no longer click and pop because they’re partially gone (worn away and remodeled) - along with the disk being pretty much missing. It’s just sort of a stiff joint now that hurts when I talk too long. I consider that a huge improvement.

Yes I’m hoping as well because I’m then I’ll know exactly what is going on . I don’t actually get migraines or headaches . It’s just a pressure on the temples. These are most if not all the Symptoms I’ve been having.

That’s a big fallacy with respect to the Vestibular Migraine name. Lots of folks here have vestibular migraines but never experience head pain. Migraine is a huge suite of symptoms of which head pain is just one. None are necessary and every migraine is different. It’s a box of chocolates.
