Unfortunately those are indeed side effects of topirimate. The neurologist may not have mentioned most meds make you feel worse for a couple of weeks before slowly getting better. The clock resets every time you increase the dose. Do a search on topirimate here. There are hundreds of posts on that med.

Yes they are so bad to the point I’ve been up since 3 this morning. Chest pain and all ! At the ER now because it was beginning to be really bad
Not taking Topamax. Can you tell me how long it take to leave the body . I just started yesterday and only took one
It’ll be gone soon. It didn’t agree with me either though I made it a month before I dumped it. Maybe ask for amitriptyline next time. It’s a kinder drug.
The topirimate half life is 21 hours. Maybe two days for it to be gone completely.

Just talked to the doctor and he said it will be out of my body 3-4 days . Please anyone how long did the side effects last
You had just a single dose. The side effects should fade pretty quickly, but every metabolism is different.

You are a life saver ! I’m stressing . I’m feeling dizzy and drowsy . To the point I don’t want to get up ! My doctor finally called me back. He said we can try something else. But I really don’t want to start anything or take nothing anymore .
Unfortunately, most of us end up on a med eventually. It’s a real trial and error thing. I’ve done many rounds of trials. All had their quirks. Topirimate was my least favorite of the group. Still, it’s worth it to regain functionality.

Yeah I’m gonna try a lot of natural remedies . Work on mediation and journaling. Still feeling the pinch, stinging . But no more burning . Feel drowsy as well
